Helen Bobula Iannotta, age 100, passed away quietly with her family on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware. She resided at Westminster Village Assisted Living, Dover, DE and formerly resided in Hockessin, DE and the Plainfield, NJ area for 65 years.
Born in Parsons, PA she was the daughter of Helen and Thomas Bobula. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Stephen, daughter Lois I. Miller, grandson Jeffery S. Miller, and her sister Louise Egnor of South Plainfield, NJ.
She is survived by son Stephen Iannotta, Jr. and wife Marie of Rehoboth Beach, DE, son-in-law Dr. Charles L. Miller of Hockessin, DE and sister-in-law Angela Cortese and husband Jerry of North Plainfield, NJ.
She was the loving grandmother of nine grandchildren: Deborah Clasby of Whitinsville, MA; Stephen Miller of Newark, DE; Dr. Randolph Miller of Yardley, PA; Cynthia Mannis of Landenberg, PA; Dr. Pamela Zorn of Berlin, MD; Glenn Iannotta of Powell, OH; Mark Iannotta of Westerville, OH; Christopher Iannotta of River Vale, NJ and Lynn Richardson of Wyoming, DE; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 65 years and Past Matron of Lydia Chapter # 41, Plainfield, NJ. Also, a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, DE and First Presbyterian Church, Plainfield, NJ.
Her interests were ceramics, knitting and sewing. She enjoyed spending summers in Ocean Grove, NJ and while there was a member of the Auditorium Choir.
She was a loving, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and treasured the time spent with family.
The family wished to express gratitude to the staffs of Westminster Village Assisted Living, Delaware Hospice, Dover and the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford for their caring assistance to our mother.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 pm on Monday evening, February 20, 2012 at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 where friends may visit from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
