Condolence & Memory Journal

Family of Rose McConnell. Remembering all the times with Rose and Ed, I was so saddened to read of Rose's passing. I had a good visit with her two years ago
looking at pictures and bragging about our grandchildren. Due to very unexpected circumstances, I was unable to attend your Mother's service at Cokesbury Village. Do know that I very much cherish my friendship with your parents. My love and deepest sympathy to all the family. Ann Ormond

There is just one word to describe Rose and that is "sweet." Just holding hands and chatting made us both so happy. I will miss seeing her in Health Care at Cokesbury.

I became a telephone friend to Miss Rosie through her visits with my
granddaughter, Anne Dunlap, and Anne's companion dog Gizmo.
Anne has disabilities and was linked to Miss Rosie as a therapeutic
treat for them both. Anne would place a call to me, then pass the
phone to her charming companion. This resulted in our making the
exciting discovery that we had both lived at one time on Signal Mountain,
Tenn, our husbands being at DuPont, mine during the 50's and hers
later,- What a fun coincidence! Her most recent news was about a
new grandson, and my heart is heavy with your loss.. As for me, I'm nearing
90 myself, still sharing with my husband memories of his coon-hunting
exploits with that mountain man Charles Cagle. Thinking of you all during this time. -Dorothy Dunlap

She was a lovely lady. The students of Del Tech and myself enjoyed caring for her. Rest in Peace Rosie.

Her smile lit up the room. A gracious and gentle lady whose kindness to our mother will never be forgotten.
