Rachel and David,

My deepest condolences. I actually tried to go to your mother's service today at Chandler's [Oct 6]. Needless to say, it didn't work. There was one other person there who had made the same mistake.

I will be out of town next weekend for a nephew's wedding in South Carolina but will be thinking of you all...and remembering what great people both of your parents were.

I called and left a message on your mom's home phone, figuring one of you would get the message. Don't have phone numbers for either of you.

I remember how supportive both of the Goorlands were when my husband Dan Frawley was mayor of Wilmington. What nice people! They both were great Wilmington supporters. I miss them!

Rachel & David:

Sad to hear of your Mom's passing. Her soul has been sent to a newborn somewhere and her Spirit will live on.

Losing your Mom leaves a big black hole deep inside and only time will help you get better in dealing with it. Take care of yourselves, the kids, your friends. You know that Big Momma would not have you mulling about with long droopy faces. Live Life, as your Mom did. Case closed.

All my best, Eric Campbell on behalf of Patrick Campbell

When I opened the paper today - I was taken back with the sweet, smiling face of Suzanne. I met Suzanne while I was working in my senior year (1954) at Pusey & Jones. My memory from so long ago is how Suzanne was so very kind and full laughter . So in love with her Lou. I offer my sincere condolences to her family and I am sure she will be keeping an eye on all in the arms of her beloved Lou.

Dear Rachel and David,
I am Johnny Naughton's daughter, Eileen. I have many fond memories of your Mother, Suzanne and your Father, Lou while growing up. My Father, John, and Lou were best friends growing up on Broom Street, and remained very good friends for life. Your Mother was a very sweet lady. I just wanted to take a minute to express my sympathy in the loss of your Mother, and know that others are thinking of you during this difficult time.

I knew Sue through my mother Sandra. They were friends. I was Sue's go to person when ever she had any technological problems. Stuff with her computer and the like. She was always such a happy grateful and wonderful woman. After I finished whatever task she needed of me I loved sitting down playing with her beautiful cat Pete and spending some time just talking with Sue. I will miss her. She is one of those people that no one could have anything negative to say about.
