Antoinette Gramenelles McFarland, age 69, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family onThursday, May 11, 2017.

Antoinette was born in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Peter and Mary Gramenelles and was the oldest of their three children. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Family was everything to her. She worked for many years for the Social Security Administration.

The McFarland family would like to thank Dr. Robert Kopecki, Dr. Greg Masters, Helen Graham Cancer Center Staff, and Heartland Hospice for all the wonderful care they provided to Antoinette.

Antoinette is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Stephen, her two children; Tiffany (Jeremy) and Jason (Rachel), her two grandchildren Sophia and Jason, and her sister Elaine and brother Peter.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707. A Funeral Services will be at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N. Broom St., Wilmington, DE 19806 on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713.
