Jeff "Karma" Troester , 43, of Claymont, Delaware, left us suddenly on May 18, 2012 after a tragic accident at his workplace.
Born in Philadelphia to Cherie and Rev. Louis Troester, Jeff was the first of four children. He grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania, was involved in the boy scouts and graduated from Oxford Area High School in PA. He then served his country in the Air Force in the late 80s. After returning, he went into automotive repair, specializing in VWs, Ghia's, and kit cars. He went on to become a welder and millwright. In 2010, he fulfilled a childhood dream by becoming a train engineer.
Jeff was an accomplished singer and musician, avid reader, and a virtual database of movie and video game trivia. He approached life with an enthusiasm and passion that is very difficult to capture. From participating in Rocky Horror to the SCA, Jeff's hobbies and activities were as numerous as they were frustrating to those who loved him - no one else could pull it off with the same style.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Sarah "Kit" Troester of Claymont, DE, his parents Rev. Louis and Cherie Troester of Lehighton, PA, brother Jason Troester of Honeybrook, PA, sister Gwen Wilson of Elysburg, PA, sister Mindy Maros of Newfoundland, PA, 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
Memorial services will be held at 4 pm on Thursday May 24, 2012 at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, located at 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Friends and family may visit from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
Please do not send live flowers. Memorial donations may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (phone 603-222-2300)
