Mary M. Forbes

Age 88 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26, 2012. She was born in Easton, MD to the late William and Mabel Maloney. A graduate of Claymont High School and Goldey College, she was employed by General Chemical for 10 yrs and then enjoyed a career of 39 yrs at Greif Bros. Corp.

Mary was happily married to Charles S. Forbes for 32 years until his death in 1979. She was also predeceased by her sister, Ruthana Fetters; her brother, William Maloney and her nephew, Frederick Fetters.

"Aunt Mary" was a treasured and beloved aunt to her nephews and nieces, Richard Fetters, Nancy Hogan, Susan Carter and James Maloney. She dearly loved her great nieces and nephews, Stacey Tietze (George); John Hogan (Heather); Jennifer MacBride (Jonathan); Amy Murphy (Patrick). Her great-great nieces, Riley, Hayden, Charlotte, Hannah, Emily, Brenna, Tess and great-great nephew, Dylan, brought Aunt Mary endless joy and laughter. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by all her family and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am, on Tuesday, May 1, at the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE where friends may visit from 10 to 11. Burial will follow in the adjoining Memorial Park.
