William G. Bennett, Sr. of Bear, DE passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Christiana Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 58.

Born in Chester PA he was the son of Martha J. Bennett and the late Earl C. Bennett.

He held memberships with the Grand Lodge Masonic #27 and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Right Valley of Wilmington for over 25 years. He was a former employee of the Scott Paper Co. in Chester PA for several years until its closing,

He is preceded in death by his son Gerald M. Bennett and his father Earl C. Bennett.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Karen J. Bennett; his children: Cheri L. Pearlman and her husband Bruce of Newark, DE, William G. Bennett, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; sisters: Nora Bennett Smith and her husband Ken of Osprey, FL, Phyllis Bennett of Marietta, GA and Joan Widdekind and her husband Michael of Centreville, MD; brother: Earl C. Bennett and his wife Donna of Smithfield, VA. nieces: Carrie, Mary, Jennifer and Tara; nephews: Matthew and Andrew; grandchildren: Lauren, Christopher, Brandon and Steven.

Services and burial will be private.
